2 Weeks without a Fridge Freezer

Ordered a Fridge Freezer from my Mum's Kays Catalogue.

After 5 weeks it stopped working (Tuesday). Called Kays who said an engineer would be in contact to arrange a visit. He called said it would be Friday. He came and said the compressor had gone. Filed a report to Kays. Kays called the following Wednesday to say it would be Monday before they could send a replacement.

Can I claim anything back from Kays? Do I have any rights to complain as it has been 2 weeks to get a new one? £100 of food wasted. Having to eat out or store cupboard items for that period.

Thanks

Household insurance will cover food wastage won't it?
    Keep all packaging. Take photographs.

Thanks, I was thinking Household insurance for the food wasted but what about the inconvinience in having no Fridge Freezer and it taking 2 weeks in total to get a new one?

That's just unfortunate, no claim there.

Thought as much, just pains me to be paying for something I have not got.
