Mispriced goods online bought and received...

I bought an item on line from a major UK based Company... and suspected it was mis-priced... £260 down to £50 whereas it should have been £50 off.... Except, part of me hoped it was just a discontinued line!!!!!!!
I've just had a phone call advising as such and offering me a further 10% discount off the sale price of £210, but she wouldn't confirm that in an e-mail to me... I said I was extremely upset, so she's gone to refer it to her manager...(she did offer a full refund)...
However, in the meantime... a knock on the door and the item has arrived... Can anyone please advise what my rights are now.. .will I have to return it, as I do not want to pay £200 for this item... Thanks.

When she phones back, take up her offer of a full refund.

Just kidding.
Clearly the transaction is now concluded.
They accepted your money and delivered the goods.0 -
Thanks Wealdrom
That was funny...lol....
Do you really think it's concluded??? I'm a terrible money saver...I'd probably pay the postage and send it back if she's asked!!!0 -
I would say your in the clear now that the goods have been delivered and you would not need to return the goods. They offered the goods for £50, you accepted their offer and paid, they delivered the product. It's deal done now and in my opinion the goods are yours. If they have not yet taken the £50 payment, then that's a debt you still owe them, but they can take £50 and no more.0

I do. But wait for someone else to confirm this before taking any action.
Presumably they offered it to you at a price which you agreed and paid. They then sent you the item agreeing to the price which you paid.
I would assume that the transaction has taken place and there is nothing they can do about it. They cant come looking for more money now.0 -
I think you would need to refer to the terms and conditions in full. It should be done but they might have a slight argument if their terms are in the right wording given they notified you of the error and amended price before you accepted delivery.0

Just a quick thank you to all for your vote of confidence that effectively the dead is done...
It's over 24 hours and I've not heard anything further.... so I'm about to open my parcel and enjoy my bargain.....0 -

Hopefully the company realises that they may not have a leg to stand on and the initial call they made to you made them aware that you were not a person who can be walked upon. They may try sending a letter so l would just continue to gather proof that by accepting payment and posting the product the contract is complete and just send it in reply.0
