dollar express help

My husband is a member of the dollar express although we have never used it before. If you book with a broker i.e carhire3000 do you have to call dollar to let them know of the booking or do you tell ch3000 you have an express account.

When you collect the car give them your card and they swipe it.

What if you dont have a card (after signing up online) and you want to go straight down to the car pick up area, how would dollar know if you book through a 3rd party

I think what the OP means and what I would like to know is, as an Express member your paperwork and car should be ready for you at the desk "downstairs" as opposed to the check in desk uptairs. But unless the third party broker tells Dollar, how would they know to have your car/paperwork ready

I've booked with CH3000 and am an Express member...I've picked up a car with them before in Vegas without advising them in advance that I was an Express member, and just went downstairs to the booth and they have done the paperwork there (so you still skip the queue upstairs). Last time I emailed CH3000 and asked if they could let Dollar know I was Express and what my number is. They did and sent me an updated voucher with the detail on it. That time I went down to the booth and they already had the paperwork waiting for me.

I have a membership card, but it is not swipeable.

I've also picked up a car with Dollar at another airport - and Dollar had worked out who I was and had the car ready for me without me having to tell CH3000 to tell Dollar...that was like magic. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
