Car sale dilema

Hi all could do with a bit of advice.
I'm looking to sell my car but it's got a problem with it...if you drive for more than about an hour it makes a squeek from the front left wheel. Obviously this wouldn't appear to someone test driving a normal amount. It's had new brake discs and wheel bearing, and a mechanic has said they can't see anything wrong, however of course there must be! It drives perfectly fine and has been doing this for over 6 months with no other problems.
So my question is, should I tell potential buyers or is it sold as seen?
Thanks, Megan

How old is the car and how much are you selling it for?
If it's < £1000 then it's sold as soon as a given, tbh.
Well actually, it's a private sale, so it's sold as seen anyway....0 -

as far as i know you can not sell a car sold as seen even private anymore
while it is harder for the person your selling too to come after you they can and do
my advice is just be honest in your ad's ect best way imo0 -

The car would need to be extremely dangerous for anything to stand up in court against a private seller though.0 -
Personally, I wouldn't bother mentioning it. You've had it checked out and been told there's nothing wrong, so you've done all you can. My car used to do the same thing, I was told it was the new brake pads wearing in, they never started squeaking until the car was on a longer journey, because it had to be hot, for the metal to expand and the squeaking to start. At least that's how my mechanic friend explained it to me!0

Its a Y reg Citroen Saxo VTR so not worth a huge amount, prob £1300-1500.
Are there any legal issues with not mentioning? I don't want to lie to anyone, but at the same time I have been told that there is nothing wrong with it so I don't want to put off a sale!0
