Wickes delivery charges depend on where your order from.

I have to say Wickes delivery is very good, order at 4.30 yesterday and it arrived at 9.30 this morning. But I found depending where you order from the delivery charge varies. Bought a couple of kitchen units over the phone from the local store, about 12 miles ways, a month ago and paid £20 delivery. Found I needed another unit and phoned the number in their catalogue and was told delivery would be £30, when I queried it the chap said it depended on the distance you are from the nearest store. I told him I'd try phoning the store I used before so see what they now charge, he assured me it would be the same wherever I ordered from. He asked if he could phone me back in 30 mins to see how I got on.

Phoned the store who said delivery would be £25, I'd got a discount code but they said that couldn't be use in store only on-line or the catalogue orderline. Went on line and guess what delivery was £20! So order it there and then.

Got a call from the order line guy who was most surprised at the difference as he understood it was down to postcode, said he's have to check it out as it wasn't fair on the customer. So if you're ordering from Wickes check out the delivery charge first.

It'll be the whether the items come from a store or a central warehouse. B&Q does the same. Usually cheaper to order from central distribution than from store.

It came for the store that said it would be £25, not from a central depot. I thought it might be worth letting anyone know who might be going to order and may save them £10.

    Hi guys

I work at wickes so i should be able to help you out. If you order from your nearest wickes store delivery is usually £20 depending on the area your in. Online delivery is at a set price as all goods come from the central warehouse.

    PS

If you speak to one of the workers there about delivery they can usually sort you out with a decent deal (i usually only charge £10)
 Student Current Accounts = - £3400
    :rotfl: Nectar - 3331 Points :D

Sorry but my delivery defiantly came from my local store, that's what the driver told me, not in a Wickes van but a pickup truck.
