  • Oh that's really bad news, especially with all the stress that you've been through!

Do you get all your legal costs back from Conveyancing Warehouse? I've just signed up with them, do you qualify for the no move no fee?

Unfortunately Emma (who is excellent by the way) isn't in today...not that that has been a problem today.

We had a brief chat last week when it was looking bad and she did say I would only need to pay my disbursements due to the no move/no fee arrangement.

In a way thats a shame for them too.... Emma really has worked her socks off for me over the last few weeks. :(
  • Stephensons? Are you North West based?

Well from what you've said they have been excellent. That's why I signed up!

My contact name is just Mrs. XXX, no first names yet but if it happens to be 'Emma' I'll tell her that she came highly recommended!

Probably the last update on this thread now....

Looks like we wont be moving... my partner has had enough and the kids have gone back to their current school today.

I have just spoken to Emma at Conveyancing Warehouse (Roberts Solicitors), they are genuinely sad how things have worked out.

In terms of fee's they have been true to their word - they will be sending me a cheque today with my deposit and stamp duty money, this will also have interest applied for the period they have held the money.

Disbursements only will be deducted and I plan to claim for these via the law society. Roberts have also documented their contacts with Stephensons solicitors and will support my compliant if required.

    Only me....

With my buyer having found another buyer almost immediately...the move was back on.... with around 8 weeks to the end of October (half term week)

Guess what... almost no action from my buyers solicitor it seems...

We need to exchange within 2 weeks (and complete the week after) or thats it really, finally the end..

Will we or wont we....god only knows!!

there are no words to say to support you after all this blinking mess and incompetence and downright total lack of customer care. I can only add that ""have charged him £1500!!!! "" - are they having a laugh ?????? i use one of the largest solicitors in Bristol and they only charged me £450 for a DoV - BUT, i then had to pay the other sides legals for their part of the DoV. Nevertheless. £1500 !!!! outrageous.

Two days to go until our exchange deadline....

We have heard very little from my buyers solicitors.... they really are absolutely useless!! from the little we have heard though it seems like most things are in place (just a few last enquiries that my buyer has to to answer for his purchaser).

So will we or won't we..... don't hold your breath...

    Good Luck dfarry.
I do sympathise,I have been in a chain since March, with buyers buyer pulling out in June, then our vendor pulling out of 2 properties,in August. He has found but it is L/h and there are problems with the lease and it may take months. My buyer is threatening to pull out now,so we 'll have to market again,as we need to move as do not have enough room wiht 3 kids.We tried to sell 6 years ago when I was 8 mths pregnant for my 3rd child and got so fed up we decided not to move, but we really want to move now.
We also have the problem if my buyer pulls out my vendor may go back on the market too,so we 'll be back to square one.
    I hate this business.
You are wished all the best and hope it goes well
