Awwww huge amounts of good wishes coming your way, you will be fine! I can still remember well lying awake on the Sunday night thinking "this time tomorrow baby will be here".
Our next is due in 5 weeks and I'm getting all excited now thinking back!

One last thing is that although birth plans go out the window especially with secions, if there is anything you would really like done/not done then write them down tonight and tell them tomorrow.
We didn't know if it was a boy or girl and I wanted us to see for ourselves rather than be told, there was about 10 people in theatre and not one said anything even though they could all see. One of the paeds team carried baby over to me as soon as she came out, held her up and said "look and see what you've got then". Was a very special moment.:o

Also you can ask for the screens to be lowered slightly when it comes time for baby to come out so you can still see baby being born but without having to see any of yourself.

    Hi everyone

Well, as promised, albeit at little late, Seren Elizabeth Louise was born on 10/5/10 at 11:15 am, weighing 7lb 15oz and measuring 53cm.

She is a little beauty!! The op went really well and although a little strange, it was a lovely experience. Thankfully, I seem to be healing well, although I'm not liking the not driving!! Sadly, breast feeding didn't go to plan and although we fed for four days, with the blessing of the midwives and my hubby, we are now on formula, which is the best choice for us both.

Thanks so much for your help and advice in the lead up to the birth :D

And here's a cheeky photo for those that are interested...

Just had to say She's absolutely beautiful.

Hope you are healing well - I had my C section 16 weeks ago it probably took a good couple of months before i felt 100%,you have to remember that you've had major surgery and although you may think that you've recovered completely its important not to do too much.

    Congratulations Jem, she's adoreable.

A wee tip for anyone else that I found invaluable after an operation (not a CS, but it was my friend who had had a section who suggested it) is to wear satin/shiny PJ's or nightie as it's easier to slide yourself about and off the bed while you are still very tender.
