Lloyds TSB????

Hi All,

Just looking for a bit of advice, my partner has upgraded his bank acc with Lloyds to their gold one.
He was overdrawn last month, so the bank gave him an authorised OD of £250 pm.
Anyway, i looked at his bank statement yesterday and it says he was charged £111 in charges for going OD from the period of Mar 10 - Apr 9th. It then says £111 was debited from his acc on Apr 9th.
On the next page it says £111 will be debited from your account on the 10th of May, for the period of Mar 10th- Apr 9th.

Is it just me, or have they already taken the money?
If they take this £111 he will be over his overdraft limit and therefore incur more charges, and as we have just moved into our own place its going to be a tight month when we get paid.

Any advice? Or am i reading it totally wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Charges for unauthorised overdraft are high, LTSB have done him a favour arranging the overdraft. It seems strange for charge to be same on consecutive months. You may have misread as it seems unlikely they have billed you twice? Suggest a phone call, he may get them to waive or reduce these charges.

Will he use the extra benefit of having gold account? It costs £7.95 for 2 months and £12 per month thereafter.

    Thanks,

Yes they have done him a favour by adding the OD, he/we will use the benefits of the account which will save us money in the long run.
It definetly says that £111 has been debited on the 9th apr and then it says £111 will be debited on the 10th of May. He is going to call them when he gets home to sort it out.

    Thanks again
