I bet it would work, and would make a fine like-for-like replacement for the TV's built in speakers.
But to answer your question "is it good": Probably not! The ones I was looking at have been around 10x that price, and I thought I was looking for a cheaper option!
"Good" is a very relative term!0 -
I'm planning on buying a new tv in about 6 months anyway when I move house, I just want something to keep my tv sound relatively better than it is now, the speaker at the moment keeps rattling at certain fequencies, which is why I need a quick and cheap replacement as it's very annoying!0

I've been eyeing up something like that for the TV OH has in their lounge, reading the views I get the impression it'll be 'nice and loud' but not exactly high quality (but certainly no worse than TV speakers - I'm largly tone deaf anyway
).
would be interested in hearing how you get on....0 -

it depends how they connect
if they use a 3.5mm jack then yes but i would think they have PC connections TBH so you could use the audio connections
i used a JBL 2.1 set up via the headphone jack on my LG,however on big sounds sections it would cut out as the jack isnt designed to drive large speakers0 -
