If you don't want to work, you have to work to earn enough money so that you won't have to work ;)

Yup. And if you want even dafter, if you are getting Contributions Based Incapacity Benefit, you don't get free dental care or prescriptions. You're signed off from work for being ill, you're given money because you're not working, but you have to pay for prescriptions.

But as soon as you start work and become eligible for tax credits you get free prescriptions and dental.

Confusing, isn't it?? Glad it's not just me!
I got my forms this morning for low-income health and dental assistance... it's also very confusing and has about 5 pages of information, none of which actually ask me what sort of dental bills I want to claim for. Will ring them on Monday and see if I can clarify a few things. :)

    (PS - I'm a she, not a he.) :p
