Rust marks from washing machine.

I have a fairly new AEG washer dryer and have had a couple of incidents of finding tiny rust marks on white wash items.
Now...today I put on one of my bras and discovered that it has lost ONE of the underwires. Hmm.
I have inspected the inside of the drum and also taken out the filter and cannot see anything obvious....but it would make sense to me that the two things above are related.
Firstly...any ideas on how to remove rust stains from white linen...bleach and peroxide don't work, also tried shout stain remover without results.
Also...should I be worried that here is potentially a lump of metal floating around inside the machine somewhere? Would it be advisable to get a repair man in? Is this a major repair? What kind of cost should I expect?
Any ideas anyone??

yes the bra wire needs to be removed. most likely its got stuck between the drum and the drum casing.
its a very common problem with ladies nether garments. you should wash bras inside pillowcases to stop it happening again.

    ps
if your bra is the size of a pillowcase, i cant help you.

Oh Ormus...you are making me blush!

    Now...more info from you please.
As I am a fully paid up member of the 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it club' what exactly could happen if I leave the aforementioned wire where it ( presumably ) is?
I suppose that I am worrying that a less than scrupulous tradesman will rip me off or forget to put one of the bits back after dismantling the machine and I will be worse of than when I started.

its one of those things where it could stay stuck in a certain position for years and not do any damage.
then again it could move anytime/day and do lots of damage.
weve had the same problem a few times over the yrs and it can sound like a jet engine trying to smash itself to bits.

    one trick maybe of use...
last one i got out by using two bent coat hangers, and coaxed the bra wire out of the drum holes.

Ingenious idea...but I cannot see the wiring at all....in fact I do not even know if it is definitely in the machine, I have just put 2 and 2 together to make 6!

Thanks..but my DIY skills are limited to say the least. One local firm advised that the steel drum on an AEG would just break up the wire over time....but I have booked someone in at £55 plus vat to take a look anyway. Stitch in time and all that.

Have you looked in the drain hatch by the pump (usually on the front panel at the base of the machine-the manual will show you where)?
It's possible that the wire has gone right through to there. In which case it will take you 5 mins to remove it and save yourself £55 (+VAT). Worth a look.
