Saving for child new question please

HI All,
Still trying to get best savings for our son.
Have thought of instead of saving in ordinary childrens account about maybe lump sum into NS&I childs saving bond and also lump sum into Witan Jump SAvings plan with monthly deposits also. (not child trust as son born before that scheme)
Have any of you advise or help on this,
thank you in advance, much appreciated.

We get NS&I child savings bonds for our son the money comes from the LLoyds TSB save the change scheme . Might not be the best rates but we find it the easiest way to do it . When our next baby arrives we will do the same.0
