Wed 5th May - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Good morning everyone

Still here - just was in a bit of a rush yesterday and thought I'd better not sit here posting while I should be getting ready;) Went back to work...just mornings for now. Was very tired in the afternoon and was in bed by 9.30...poor old soul I am
to any new posters and big waves to you regulars...hope all well
Not decided whether I'm going to college or not this morning...am worn out, bit sore and .... well,, just can't be bothered:o Am all showered though so will get ready and decide nearer 9.15:rotfl:
Ok...onwards with my list:

Have a great day:A

SS came and spoke to my dd and they are looking to put her into a mother and baby foster placement. Have mixed feelings about this but in truth I don't think I can cope with living with her. It has now been 13 days since she's been back and already the lying, conflict, swearing at me and stealing has begun. We're also due to go to Holland at the end of the month (me & oh) and my ds came to me yesterday and told me that she has been going around telling everyone there's a massive party at ours at the end of the month...DF as at 30/12/16

No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

grrrrr....car broke today
been juddering and jerking a bit for last couple of days and this morning it was really bad. When I got to the lights at the bottom of the road, the engine warning light came on. Parked it up in Tescos next to garage where it will need to sit for a couple of weeks as no money.
Buses work out so much more expensive Poo!! Still, no parking I suppose. Snookered me a bit for my plans though....was going to start back at the gym at my work (other building than the 9-5 part) tonight but no public transport so will have to wait.
have checked bank - very sorry state and need to pay someone back £17 today so have to do that first then I have remaining £3 for bus to work rest of this week.
One good thing, will force me to get the garden done a bit more....had to give everything a major water last night as I just cant keep things wet enough so dont think my peas have germinated. Indoors, cucumber, courgette and beetroot looking good. I think tonight I will nail the new beds together.
Will also do some work on my end of course assignment for one OU course. Think I will have to officially give up with the other one which I am not amused at but I just dont have the hours.
Will give myself a manicure at home tonight too...have garish but very nice sparkly bright blue varnish on at the mo but its beginning to chip
check out all the freebies and comp pages - inspired by the nice big cash win from an MSEr as notified in the email
Anyway....hope all is well.DFW 228 LONG H 68

Hi everyone, hope everyone's having a better day than I am
Really struggling with my money atm, got pretty much nothing left. But should change soon with any luck, 'cos I've done the following:-- Prepared my phone for recycling (£156.00 coming to moi!)
- Checked eBay
- Listed everything I can put on eBay
- Looked for other sites to sell clothes on (anyone got any ideas?!)
- Paid my deposit for my car insurance (£166.50!! *whistles* - and that was the cheapest! Being a new driver sucks.)
- Decided to have a few more NSDs than I planned due to having no money
October Grocery Challenge - £67.18/£135
Save up £500 - £0/£500
NSDs for October - 0/100
