Sisley, the greatest foundation ever. I have used and tried many brands over the years non match this baby. Goes on covers without feeling heavy and lasts all day.

I refuse to pay the high price from a department store and get mine from ebay France at as least half the price for a tester.

I have very oily skin and every single foundation I have ever used just slides off and fades within a couple of hours.

The best I've found is Kanebo Total Finish which is a powder and comes in a compact which can be applied with a damp sponge for light coverage or a dry sponge for heavier, matte coverage. They've stopped stocking it in the UK now and I buy the refills on ebay but they're very pricey (to me) at £30 each but they do last me about three months. I'd love to find a cheaper replacement for it.

I've changed to mineral make up. Used to have Magnolia Minerals from US and loved it, but now tried Bare minerals and quite like them too. Probably higher coverage, but slightly more heavy. I wouldn't say oily, but in comparison with Magnolia minerals which was light as a feather I am definitely more aware of it.

However my sister just bought Chanel minerals and she says they are amazing. Might try it on next time I visit her.

Any Maybelline one depending on what look I'm going for, I used to be a huge EL fan until I discovered maybelline.
Thank you for this site Martin

Did you try there normal to dry one? And put moiturise under it?

It was years ago, so can't remember. But it's put me off using it since. I use Elizabeth Arden moisturiser... at the moment. But the snail stuff (please see other thread) :rotfl::rotfl:

Have you tried Lily Lolo? I've tried quite a few different ones, but I find it gives the best coverage but isn't heavy at all. Also the concealers (especially blush away) work so well. I couldn't leave without my blush away. After trying a lot of green foundations, its the only one that doesn't actually make me green!

I use Chanel Double Perfection Creme Poudre foundation. It goes on really smoothly, looks really even and stays put all day and I don't even need to use powder with it. It's expensive, but an investment in my mind. Most people look shocked if I tell them I'm wearing make up, so it must look pretty natural.

    Gwenx

PS. I've quite often got samples of foundation from the Chanel and Lancome counters so you can make sure it's right for you before you buy an expensive product.
Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending

I.D Bare Minerals/Bare Escentuals (same thing). It's the best foundation I've ever used and since I've been wearing it, I keep getting asked ID!!! WOOOH!!! (I'm over 30 now)

It's a little tricky to get used to as it's a powder, but once you do, the results are fab!

I bought mine on Ebay from the US, which works out so much cheaper than buying it here.
