Kitchen revamp - what order?

I'm about to re-vamp my kitchen - not a full refit but a bit of an update and don't know what order to do stuff in so any advice would be appreciated!!
I've bought new doors for all my units and a new worktop and also plan to re-paint the walls, ceiling and woodwork and also re-tile the walls behind the hob/ worktop/ sink.
My plan is to remove current tiles first, then paint everywhere, then replace the worktop, then re-tile, then swap the doors over. Is this the right order to do it in? Or can anyone suggest a better way (or any tips - never done this before!!)
Cheers!

Your order sounds good. I am just about to embark on a full kitchen refit, floor up the lot. Need to plan it before I start:DMortgage free

Cheers for that - my main query is whether I should replace the worktop and then tile up to it or tile first then put the worktop in (to avoid damaging the worktop whilst tiling)?0

The worktop goes on first and you then tile. Can't see why tiling would damage worktops. If you think you may drop a tile, put and old blanket on the worktop.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Definitely put the worktop on first, then tiles. My friends did it the other way round and lived to regret it!This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
