Strange request regarding shoes?

My daughter has listed some pairs of shoes for sale on Ebay and last night someone asked for the exact measurement of the inside of one of those pairs. She was just about to reply this evening after work, when they sent another message asking for a photo of her feet with the shoes on them! I thought this was a really strange and weird request, but she sent it off anyway.

Anyone else ever had a request like this?

    Usually when someone asks for a picture of the owners feet in the shoes it is a shoe fetishist, they will now be sitting at home with the picture indulging their fantasy, if you know what I mean.

    It's because there are so many people selling shoes to people who have a fetish for used ones. Buyers interested in that sort of thing tend to think all sellers are intimating that they are in the industry as well.

    Did she put "well worn" in the title? Oh that was a good thread...

    Many years ago, I was selling some underwear on ebay (new of course!).
    I sold some, then got an email from the buyer asking if someone would please wear it before it was sent. Eeewwww. I never replied, and the buyer never did send their address so I could post (was before the times when you automatically got an address).
  • I once had a request to model a pair of trousers so the prospective buyer could see what they looked like on. I replied that the reason I was selling them was they didn't fit me so I couldn't model them.
  • As a general rule of thumb, when people have asked for additional information or pictures and asked for them to be sent to their e-mail address I have avoided this having had a very nagative experience (although I hasten to add not in the way some people have described!)

    I sold some trainers, got asked for additional pictures to be sent and not long after the pictures showed up on ebay as part of an almost identical listing for what I can only presume to be a fake auction.

    Like another has said if she put 'well worn' in the title you are deffinately more likely to get the people with fetishes mailing you.

    I once sold a pair of boots, basically brand new and i got a footy on my case, i didnt mind though and i even got an extra fiver out of him for putting mud on them :D

    if someone could link the op the shoe thread it will be an eye opener to them. Personally i couldnt find it more repulsing eating a pair of shoes let alone someone elses 'well worn' manky ones:eek:

    Oh how I wish I hadn't come on to this thread.

    My mind is working overtime on all the well worn items I could put on ebay...

    ...not to mention images of what OPs buyer does with those shoes and why they need to be a certain inside measurement. Well I suppose he wants to make sure 'it' fits properly

    Ewwwwwww....

    What if the shoes have a peep toe?

    :eek::eek::eek: :rotfl:
