are you in reciept of housing benefit at all?0

I dont think PDSA will help they only pay for new conditions assuming you qualify0

The rspca paid a contribution towards my dog being done so I would try them. They find it easier to stop unwanted puppies this way.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member No 2 :j

Why get a puppy if you can't afford £50 to get it neutered? How irresponsible. Have you bothered to get pet insurance or are you going to plead poverty should you get an unexpected vets bill too...?0

Great that you are getting your dog neutered ,a lot of people are not that responsible .
Dont worry ,its really cheap to get a male dog done ,less than a female

Some vets will do it for free or very cheaply if you are on benefits or low income. My vet does...unfortunately, I don't qualify.
Might be worth trying a few vets and see what they say.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

Have to agree with this...more worryingly that it gets abandoned or taken to an already over stretched animal charity when the vet bills and the cost of looking after it becomes too much.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

Exactly. Inoculations and spaying/neutering are only the initial costs associated with getting a dog/cat. They're essential procedures (or they should be), and if you can't even afford them, you shouldn't be getting one. Period.
The PDSA and goodwill of vets etc would be stretched enough with people who had pets and fell upon hard times, let alone with irresponsible morons choosing to get pets they know full well they can't afford.:cool:0 -
First off it may not be only £50. My dog was neutered yesterday and my bill was £92. Secondly who says they cant afford vet bills? Maybe they have insurance. Insurance doesnt cover neutering though obviously. At least this person is trying to be a responsible pet owner and yet people are slagging them off with no facts other than asked if anyone knew where they could get help with neutering. Why get a puppy if you can't afford £50 to get it neutered?
