Any other football "widows" out there want a chat???

I have been relegated to the bedroom while DH shouts at the TV for 90 minutes!

Thank god the season is nearly over!!!

The season may be nearly over but my OH (Celtic fan) will watch any footie and this summer is the World Cup (sigh!) :(

ha ha, mine too, whenever i leave the room the telly switches to some sports channel. So glad it's the last day of the season on sunday, although his team (Man Utd lifelong, season ticket, going to euro away games level of obsessive supporter) don't look like winning this year.

I am going away for the first 2 weeks of the world cup, he can enjoy that in peace. Although i suspect our TV might get upgraded while i am not looking!

No Hoopy...years ago I was the only girl at my school who liked footie and it wound the boys up that I knew more than most of them. Then I became a referee, the only woman in my area at that time. As my kids grew up they thought it was quite cool having a mum who actually knew the offside law lol

We got married in June 1998, and I clearly remember spending every night of our honeymoon in the bar of the hotel watching the world cup before going out for the evening! I do like football, not as fanatical as when I was younger, but I want to choose when I watch it, not the three men I live with dictating it to me!

Well tonight it's payback....having endured me screaming at Liverpool during various cup and European as well as prem games, my City supporting OH is now pacing round the living room getting very vexed every time Spurs get the ball :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
