Wait for invoice??

Hi,

Just won an item but not received invoice yet - last time I just paid straight away but didn't get anything from seller till item arrived. I couldn't track status through PayPal for some reason it allows it only when you pay the invoice they send.

Bit confused tbh :o

Why do you need to wait for an invoice. Just pay and it will be on its way.

Like hintza says there is no need to wait for seller to send an invoice, many don't. If you complete checkout you'll get all the info you need to pay.

If there's no postage shown you have to wait for an invoice.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

Oh well this shows postage so I guess I'll just pay it now and lose the tracking options :(

I'm sorry I'm a bit confused. I don't know what an invoice has to do with tracking? About 75% of my buyers pay immediately after winning an auction and before I even get the chance to send an invoice, but they get the same treatment as those buyers I have to send an invoice for.

I don't send my items tracked , so no one gets tracking info as virtually all my items are under £32 so no need for special delivery. If you mean the payment bit on ebay itself then that will automatically show as paid as soon as you make your paypal payment, again that happens whether or not you do checkout, or wait for an invoice.

There is an option for the seller to pop the tracking info into a page on PayPal which will then e-mail you the tracking info but again this has nothing to do with the invoice.

I think its a great device that will help sort out any problems with non delivery in the future.

but as stated, that is an option though even if your seller sent you an invoice you wouldn't necessarily get this info. I don't actually see how someone can provide a tracking number when sending an invoice as this would only become available when item is posted and therefore after item has been paid for anyway (does that make sense), I never wait for an invoice, and as a seller only send an invoice if payment has not been made the day auction has ended.

Normally I update my Paypal invoice details to show that item is in processing, then dispatched (at which point i provide a ref number for tracking)

Also in ebay, when I'm a seller there are about 5 or 6 status symbols in the "My ebay" screen ranging from "payment received" to "item dispatched" whereas when I'm the buyer there are three - Feedback Left, Feedback received and one other, I foget. Why the discrepancies?? :o:confused:
