Joys Sewing Machines

Before I knew this company (Joys, ACE, JSM) were totally dodgy, I bought a 300 quid embroidery machine from them. It arrived 1st Feb, I didn't have time to use it much, but each time I did, it didn't work. Eventually at end of March took to to local sewing machine man who said it was faulty and would never work.

E-mailed Joys on 1st April. Since then numerous e-mails, letters (recorded) and phone calls. Finally got returns number from them and they want to charge me 25 quid for the free courier!

Where do I go from here - not willing to throw good money after bad. If I start small claims court procedure from now will it prejudice it that I wouldn't pay the money for their courier to pick it up.

Does anyone have any words of wisdom for me?

THanks

Indigo
