Losing License

The only reason the cops didn't seize the car was because I asked them to follow me home, as I thought my documents were there.

I do work, I do need my car but didn't notice that the money hadn't went out as we are saving for our wedding in July and there is a lot more money in there than would normally be.

I'm surprised they did that. Surely if they had reasonable suspicion that you had no insurance they shouldn't have allowed you to continue, they should of either got you to arrange for someone else to retrieve the documents or, more usually, seized the vehicle there and then and issued you with a producer.
