Hi there,
Well done for spotting this email – it looks like it’s definitely a phishing attempt. I work with VeriSign, an internet security company, and we have a website which gives advice to consumers about staying safe online and avoiding falling victim to these scams. Search for 'trust the tick' - it shows what you should look out for and stay clear of when entering personal details on websites.
The general rule is if you receive an email from a bank requesting information like this, it’s probably a phishing scam. Delete the email straight away – don’t click any links within it. Then call the bank to verify whether the message came from them.
Hope this helps,

if you ever go to a shop where they first swipe the magstrip before inserting the chip in, immediately refuse to pay on that terminal and demand they use another terminal - you'll also need to use a different card in case the other terminal is compromised.
a card can only be cloned if they collect the magstripe, if only the chip is inserted then it's impossible (unless you're using an old card that has the magstrip data in it)0
