Tory Toffs or Pillow Biters, sticking to who I know - retired on small pension.0

I'll be voting Conservative, and all real Money Savers should be looking to do the same! Couldn't have the Mickey Mouse Lib Dem gang get in who think we're living in a utopian world. Absolute joke.
However if Labour did get in I wouldn't mind as much, at least they'll protect the banking system, something none of the other parties are willing to do0 -

I have very little respect for any politican at present as none of them are really telling us what horrors they have in store, but I am old enough to recall the reign of Thatcher and it was a terrible time.Hence do not want to see a Conservative vicTORY.
Couldnt agree more.
I remember 15% inflation, high unemployment, bancrupts, all with a CON government.
Followed by very low inflation, low unemployment, low bancrupcies, pension credits, child tax credits, all with a LABOUR government. (its only the WORLDWIDE banking chaos thats caused probs in last 2 years - not Labour)0 -
anyone who is old enough to remember what thatcher did to this country will never vote conservative. if cameron & osborne get into downing street you can kiss goodbye to the continuing investment in the NHS, schools, police, tax credits and all the good things the labour party have done in the past 15 years.
cameron is a child of thatcherism - don't forget that tomorrow!
What Thatcher did? You mean what the Labour Government did before she came to power who forced her to make a lot of hard choices that many people blame her for today.
You do remember the endless strikes in 1978, the loans that Britain got from the IMF to keep us floating, the power shortages, the rubbish piled a mile high on Britain's streets? Britain was in a horrible state and Labour was the cause just like what Gordon Brown has done today to the economy. Also, you seem to blame Thatcher with '15% inflation'? Did you know that it was 28% under the previous Labour Government before Thatcher?
If David Cameron is elected, he too will be remembered for making a lot of hard choices and be blamed unfairly as he goes about 'cleaning up the mess'.
The problem with people is that they have a short memory.0 -

To be a money saver you need to have money, which means you have to have an income, which means you have to have a job, which means I won't be voting Conservative .The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water
And I look like a tramp and tramps like us

I just love the way people continue to make excuses for the Milk Snatcher, it was always someone elses fault wasn't it. The 3 million+ unemployed, 16% interest rates, poll tax riots, decimation of the UK's traditional industries, Black Wednesday, etc, etc, etc.
No, none of that was Thatcher's fault, it was all down to someone else. Now who was that special advisor to the the Treasury on Black Wednesday, let's blame him instead! The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water

Nobody has ever disputed that Labour are very good at spending other people's money - that's the problem.
All governments spend other peoples money - thats what they are there for.
Its how wisely you spend it that determines whether its a problem.
Pension Credit, Child Tax Credit are not a problem.
Inheritance Tax refunds are.0 -

Am I on a different planet - did the banks just not go broke?
Protect the banking system, you are joking. Not only that
but our debt will go on forever - Brown is getting out (hopefully)
at the right time having nearly bankrupted our Country and left
a legacy of debt for many generations to come. Remember that
when you are 70 and want to retire! Brown's fault!0 -

Actually they didn't!
Labour saved them!
If they had not - you would not be able to retire - you would have to work until you died.0
