Because I actually did not see the need to give out personal information - but the comments that have been left have been slightly upsetting.
My Dad will check but unfortunately not for a week or so (I did tell the Dealer he was away)
Anyway I am sorry I asked, perhaps someone can kindly tell me how to delete my post - this was the first time I had asked for advice, I did not expect to be called a thief, a liar, or trying to pull a fast one.

All I wanted to know was if they had a right to their money IF they are correct - if you buy something in a shop and the shop keeper realises after you have paid he has under charged you - who has the Rights. Instead I have just been insulted.
    Quite shocked to be honest.

    Gutted.

I'm trying to empathise, I really am, but you're clearly a chancer. Why wouldn't they have have a right to it?
I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!

Obviously it would seem from the comments they are entitled to their money - which is all I asked. (From the point of view it took them 6 weeks to realise there had been a mistake) But fine once my Dad is able to check I will go from there.

I believe that if they are correct and your dad's card has not been charged, they have the right to obtain that money from you/your dad.

Consider, if they took it to court - I would imagine the judge would rule in their favour.

Not to mention the moral obligation to pay what you owe.

Hope this is helpful and sorry again for those most unpleasant posters.

Most posters on this forum are reasonable and helpful, just a few jump right in, assume the worst then find it difficult to crawl back out.
Now and again the c/c operators fail and charges don't get through. Just check the statement, if not paid then go down and pay. Looking from the sellers point of view, if its a couple of quid they would write it off, £500 they would not be able to lose.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
