    ooohh exciting stuff!!!

does cherry rose designs have a website?

Hehe my estmated turnover at the moment is £1040 wish i could say £120k, but i'm starting small and stepping up to actually earn the £20 a week i'm allowed at the moment.

Aha - your turnover can be much higher than £1040 - it's your profit that's not allowed to be more than that for a while x

There are loaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaads of ways of reducing profit if you need to :)
  • Or if we think about it creatively

"Who do you know who?" .......................... works as an angel in the sky and might take a cse of football jerseys out to Jo'burg intl??

Presumably the £20 a week you are allowed to earn is the profit so you will be able to have a bigger turnover than £1040.
As well as the costs of the beads and the printing & postage check out how much the Inland Revenue will allow you to deduct towards electricity & telephone bills. When we ran a business from home I think we put 1/6 of the energy bills towards it but it was a business that used electricity.

yes the £20 a week is profit? so my turnover will be more lol never thought of that duh

you could speak to export companies and see if they would send them by airfreight or seafreight and give you a special price as it's for a good cause.

airfreight is charged by the kilo and seafreight is charged by the cubic meter.

  • Kittikins thank you! :j How amazing that I popped on this thread, asked for help with my CV and you have just helped out a total stranger. I am completely amazed and completely grateful. Now, to move on with my career "plans". They are loose but I have been mind mapping so they are a lot firmer than they were.

Thanks to MG for her book that has made mind mapping easily accessible, even to someone as unartistic as me. I feel I may actually be finding a direction after being in limbo for years. I am following you on Twitter but I don't really understand it, an FB page would be fab.

Clarewop, I am amazed at the change in you in such a short time. There's no stopping you now. Just viewing your journey from afar is inspiring. I am a "fan" on FB.

I would love to help with the matrix but I don't think I have anything really available to give, I don't know many people, nor am I looking to start a business, but if there is some way I could help I'm all for it.

    R x

Rainbow - of course you can help.
I'm like you - I thought there was nothing I could do but I've just received the flyer sheet from clairewop - a couple in my work, a couple in DH's work, I know people who wear the type of jewellery she makes - a leaflet in a local shop/hotel when you're passing.
It's nothing for me (& you) to do this but if it brings in 1 or 2 orders.....
Do you have children? If so do you ever meet other mums - I'd bet they's love the flyers to look at. And even if you can only help one person that's fine...
Go on - Go for it :D

PS - I've just re read your post - are you good on facebook? - If so you might be able to answer questions for people....
