Inheritance tax forms time and cost saver

My Mum dies recently leaving an estate over the IHT limit, but there will be no IHT to pay because she's entitled to a transferred allowance from her husband who predeceased her. Nevertheless we have to fill in the full IHT form, which runs to over 100 pages. And it contains several schedules, each of which needs the same basic information. By hand, it's a real pain.

HMRC has a copy of this form (IHT400 Integrated Account) which you can download and which copies, cross-references and calculates for you, making the whole process a lot simpler. However it only works if you have Adobe Acrobat (the full version, not just Acrobat Reader).

But if you download a trial version of Acrobat, it works for a month with no restrictions and no watermarks. So you can use HMRC's integrated form for free. Download link is http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobatpro/tryout.html.
