Just out of interest where did you go for them and roughly how much did you pay? OH is extending the kitchen this week and just having a think about new benches and units. Thanks.

My last one was MFI , its now seven years old , and as good as new .

    The units were about a £1000 , sink/taps /tops about £600
    Altogether about £3000

But I did all the work my self ..... no paperwork , shocking!

Just about to have a new kitchen and we are going with Howdens, we had a Howdens kitchen in our last house 5 years ago and it looks as good as new now. For the new house the whole kitchen, units, sink, tap, wooden worktops stainless steel 5 ring hob and chimney costs £2k. Kitchen is 9'6" square, so not huge but it has been designed to maximise the space.

We went for a Burbidge oak and bought online to save about 30% - still cost around £6000 though but at least its for a lot of units.

oak units and oak flooring from wickes, granite worktop from someone who posts here, sink from ebay, Hansgrohe tap as a present from my parents. Appliances cheapest off internet.

We're currently looking at kitchens. Current kitchen we put in our house 8 years ago is Nebraska from MFI (Howden's Stornoway). I put the same kitchen in my flat about 2 years before that, and liked it so much I got it again when we moved shortly after.

I'm tempted to go with the same againk, but have considered a shaker one instead. I really like the white shaker from Ikea, but it's off white and they only do white plinths I think, so I don't think I can get everything to match from there.

I also liked the shaker one in Homebase, but everyone seems to say they're poor value for money. Not keen on the quality of the Take Away B&Q ones, and never saw any in their other range that I really liked. I can't think of anywhere else to look!

I'm interested in what others have to say too!

Good evening: Ikea for cabinets and oak worktop...value for money option tbh ...cost dependent on which and how many units/accessories you choose.
