Dress Wobble

With 10 days to go, I am having a serious dress wobble

I have not tried it on "done up" with hair make-up etc, but I feel Massive (like zeha worrior drincess) and a bit daft in it.

I am assured it looks great and is a "me" dress.

Its to late for me to do anything now, has anyone else had a simular thing or is my crazyness back???
I am pleased to give hairdressing help or advice, but a thank you doesn't go a miss.

In what way do you feel "daft"? Is it because it's longer / girlier / fuller than you are used to?

How about trying it on with your shoes, and your hair something like your wedding-do to get more of an idea, but don't try the whole lot on together before the day as it is bad luck ;). Also, have you been able to see it in a full-length mirror, as that makes a difference?

I think every bride has a little wobble at one point or another but you have to remember why you chose it in the first place and how you felt when you decided that it was The One! You probably will feel a little daft if you're trying it one with no make-up on, your hair pulled back in a ponytail, no jewelley etc because, lets face it, wedding dresses are a tad OTT and it's easy to panic that it's 'too much' but once you're all made up and you've got your accessories on you'll look and feel amazing and you'll laugh about your little wobble!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

  • You are right! :D

It is 1950's style, which I do ususally wear, but I think its the colour -champagne, its not as bold as I usually wear, and stood in my bedroom is not really showing it off to its best.

Also only 1 friend knows about the wedding, so I havnt really got anyone I can turn to for reassurance.

Gonna have a mininrehersal this afternoon while I am in on my own.

Thanks girls you are brilliant as always xx

You could always add a coloured waist belt to the outfit like these:

I haven't bought my dress yet, but I'm similar to you.
I normally wear bright colours, so I'm unsure about going for a plain "weddingy" colour. However, it'd be nice to wear something different to my usual clothes, so I think 'll add my colour with accessories. :)

What a wonderful idea! I am wearing green shoes, green bouquet etc.
I am off to the fabric shop to find some fabric.
That will be just the ticket. Thank you:T

Would a green petticoat be too much? And whereabouts are you in Warrington? (I used to live there until I moved up to Lancs with my OH)
