Question on behalf of a friend which i couldnt help with as i dont have a provident loan or savings account with them.
However, apparently, an associate of provident comes to your house to collect money on a monthly basis, if you have let them in to collect money or sign paperwork on a previous occasion and then dont pay them can they break in to take goods? I cant help as i dont have a clue!!! So over to you please.........
Thanks, this question may appear here later on another thread as i advised friend to register here.

I know this applies to bailiffs, but I don`t think it would apply to just anyone from Provident.:pB&SC No. 298

i know someone who had bad debt with them, it was just passed to a debt collection agency as any other debt, no bailiffs at came at all.0

i cant imagine the 'normal' provident reps having the power to do that, nor would most of them want to do it themselves anyway!0

This a quote from another site I use,
How do I deal with a bailiff at my door?
The bailiff can call at your house at any reasonable time to seize goods, but you do not have to let them in.
The bailiff cannot enter your house by force, but they can legally enter your property through open windows or unlocked doors, so make sure all your doors and windows are locked or closed!
Once the bailiff has been inside your house by entering peacefully, they can call again at a later date and enter your house without your permission, forcefully, to remove your goods.
When seizing goods the bailiff must leave the premises safe.
When in your house the bailiff has the right of access to all rooms and can force their way into other parts of the property.
Hope this helps?:pB&SC No. 298

No-one from Provident can force their way into your home. They are a (ripoff) Financial Institution and the rep will just keep knocking week after week after week. Eventually they will pass it onto a Debt collection Agency...that's where the post re bailiffs comes into it.Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those affected (Benjamin Franklin) JFT96...YNWA0
