Tax from Mum's Pension ....does anyone know ?

Hello ..My mum gets two pensions from my late fathers works... In April Mum noticed she no longer pays tax on these private pensions ...does anyone know if this is right ..Oh and should add My mum is 65

Mum gets state pension of £ 108 weekly

Jaguar cars £196
BMW £ 79 these two are once a month

    It could be because as she is now 65 her personal allowances are higher. More details might help people to give better advice/info.

    Her allowance has increased from £6475 to £9490 due to her age she gets more allowance being 65 !

    I was only asking Emma ...my mum simply doesn't want to be in any trouble so i thought i would ask for her

    She hates too think shes getting something she shouldn't as its happened in the past ..along with a large overpayment ..she doesn't want that again !

    She's not paying any tax so obviously she cant be getting in cut.

    Op, tell your mum its fine. Tax allowance goes up because your mum has
    got to 65.

    Hi

    Mum is allowed to have an income of £182.50 per week before she starts to pay tax. Her actual income is £171.46 per week so there is no tax to pay.

    Before reaching the age of 65 she would have been paying £9.38 tax per week on the same income.
