Help please- Faith boots

Hi,

I bought a pair of Faith boots a couple of months ago at a Debbenhams branch concession. I paid for them with my Debbenhams card.
They are faulty and when I tried to return them I got laughed at. I caled heir headoffice but the number is not working and was told that they have gone into administration.
I called the Debenhams store and was told they would be able to offer me an exchange but no refund. To be honest, I don't want to have an exchange for shoes I do not want from a company that may cease to exist shortly. And as I paid wit my Debbenhams card I feel I should get a refund from Debbenhams.

Where do I stand?

The irony of asking "where do I stand" on threads about footwear always makes me smile :D

They have offered you an exchange which is a good result especially if they have gone into administration. Take the offer

They can offer you a refund or a replacement so they are within rights. If you liked the shoe originally why don't you now?

I don't want the shoes anymore because they are broken. As they were boots, they were quite a high value so I would have to exchange them for some shoes (boots are all in the sale and I don't like what is left), and there was nothing I liked. I can't get a credit note either for obvious reasons, so I feel like I am being pushed into something I don't want, but feel Debenhams should take some responsibility becuse I paid for it with a Debehams card.

Faith act as an independent business in the Debenhams store unfortunatly, as there in administration theres little more that can be offered. Have you considered asking a couple of friends if there after any faith shoes? maybe you could have the money from them and they get the shoes or something just as a suggestion?
