Hopefully a kick in the backside for others to follow suit.

Hi, just a bit of added info that may save some people some hassle.

I've just been accepted for the Clydesdale card, duly got the paperwork through BUT They want me to turn up at a Clydesdale branch with ID (driving licence or passport) a utility bill plus last 3 payslips.

I don't have any problems with this but Clydesdale branches are few and far between in England. So be warned you could end up with a long long trip just to get this card. I'm relatively lucky, I live in London where there is a branch on Regent's street so it will only take me an hour but if you live somewhere like Folkestone or Cambridge it really would be.

Sounds like an ID and income check - you can get your post office to validate a scan of your photo ID

And just post it along with the payslips to them with a cover letter. Best to send it recorded delivery.

You don't need to take a trip up to sunny Scotland, though if you do, can you please bring some good weather with you ;)

Thanks Jock, that's useful. I can actually get to the London branch at the end of the week. Was more concerned that others might end up with a search on their credit history and not be able to complete the application.

Sadly if they had any sun in London I'd be in the garden half asleep instead of surfing on here lol

WOW, I know I have a good credit record - Not missed a payment and able to pay my current obligations. It's good to have it rubber stamped so to say. All I want is time to pay my debts off interest free. With a bit of luck by the time the 0%runs out I'll be near enough done.:D
