Sorry to thread hi-jack, but hoping someone could help with this:
You get the top level interest for a balance of 5k - 7k
So let's assume you have in 7k
You get paid interest, you're then over 7k
What does the interest then earn? Is it the standard level? Is it included in your 7k balance or do they see it as being separate?0 -
The T&C include that amounts above £7K earn 0.1% pa. (You still get the high rate on the £7K, it's just the excess which earns 0.1%.)0

Interest won't appear until the 2nd working day of the month.
My interest has been paid tonight, with todays datestamp, which proves my point. 1st working day after 2nd of the month.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -
Does the interest count as new money? If I get £18 interest a month, do I only need to deposit £982 to qualify for the 7% next month?0

I've just checked out my mum's statement as she's a non tax payer.
If you are paid gross interest, then it'll show as this...
04May10
INTEREST (NET)
z.zz xxx
04May10
INTEREST (GROSS)
z.zz xxx
where z= inerest paid and x= your balance0 -

You'll get the 4% on the £7k, and 0.1% on the rest. The day I get my interest I move it to another account
I received £19.20 net interest on £7k on one account and £19.21 on the other for AprilJustice for the 96 YNWA
