Moving/changing radiator

Hi there,
We're planning to move the radiator in our box room to under the window (in a v.awkward place at the moment!) and also change it to a smaller one. Having never done this before, wondering how big a job it is?
2 questions: We wouldn't attempt to do it ourselves, but wondered if we had to get a gas safe plumber to carry out the work, or could it be done by someone else? Secondly - any ideas roughly how much it might cost?
(Don't know if this is relevant at all, but we have a combi boiler system).
thanks!

There is no gas in your radiators, so any plumber should be able to do the job.
A non-GSR person cannot work on the gas supply or the boiler. No free lunch, and no free laptop

hi, just wondered as it will, presumably, involve draining the radiator & I didn't know how this would affect the pressure in the combi boiler....0 -

Hi, that's tricky as he's doing lots of other work in the house for me at the same time. He charges me £200 a day which is the going rate (or just under) for this area.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -

Yes,, if you have to drain down the system to alter the pipework then it will need to be refilled and any airlocks removed etc. But no work on the gas side is necessary. Ask your plumber, if he deals with CH work then he can do it, even if he is not GSR.No free lunch, and no free laptop
