    I had that problem this time last year. I made a panic appointment at the dentist, thinking a filling was dissolving first.

    I threw my old brush away and bought a new one. I also e-mailed Oral-B.

    They suggested that whitening toothpastes discolour the metal pin, but also said that the pin should be dried every time it is used.

    They sent me a voucher for £20.

    I take the head off after every use and wash and dry it. Never had a problem.
