Mexico Questions

Just booked an all inclusive to the Riu Playacar in mexico & have a couple of questions:
1) What is the min age to drink alcohol? Is it 18 or 21?
2) Do we use US Dollars or Mexican currency? If dollars if we use an ATM do we get Dollars? As I am aware of the departure tax when leaving Mexico is pd in Dollars. Otherwise how do we get dollars when there?
Any other tips would be gratefully appreciated.

Mexican Peso but the $USD is widely accepted in tourist areas.Do we use US Dollars or Mexican currency?
