Thank you. This is how I see it:
For your 7 night holiday your first night in accomodation was 24 April and your last night in accomodation was the 30 April. Checkout would have been noon on the 1 May with your flight leaving in the early hours of 2 May; as I mentioned previously, cheap deals utilise flights with unsociable hours.
If your return flight had left in the early hours of 1 May your last night in the accommodation would have been the 29 April and you would have checked out on the 30 April at noon; effectively giving you only a 6 night holiday.0 -
I totally understand what you are saying. I usually have around 4 foreign holidays per year.
The tickets DO state a 7 night holiday, but also state that we would be leaving the resort to check in at the airport at 11.15 on Friday 30.4.10!
So, if we had to check in at the airport at 11.15 on the 30th then we would have had a 6 night holiday, travelling home on the 7th night.
This was confirmed by the Thomas Cook helpline TWICE before travelling, who stated that we travel home on the 7th night!0 -
Katilou, why are you continuing this discussion?
Cityboy has told you what to do on another one of your three threads on this subject.
This one here.
But you already know that... you have thanked him.0 -

Incapuppy has hit the nail on the head. This is standard stuff with package holidays involving night flights on the return. You always end up checking out on the 7th morning, even though your flight home may not be until very late that night or even the small hours of the following morning.
It would appear it was some kind of administrative error on Thomas Cook's part. Perhaps the flight return flight day was loaded in their system wrong, as it actually occured in the small hours of the 8th day.
If you had originally flown home as shown on the tickets it would only have been a 6day holiday which is very rare for package holidays. You usually fly home on the same flight you went out on, i.e. if it got to Greece in the smal hours of the morning, you will fly home on that aircrafts return leg.
I'd write to Thomas Cook and see what they say. You also may have an angle with the EU regs as Cityboy has suggested on your other thread.0
