I have a friend in hospital & have been given an 0704.... number to reach them.
Does anyone know what it would cost to phone this number from a landline?
I've googled, but get pretty old information.
Many thanks

To determine the cost we need more digits after the 0704, but it will be very expensive.
This link will help you, that is if you are going to ring from a BT landline.

Nowadays, it isn't seen as so bad to have a mobile phone in hospitals, with provisos about not in certain areas or so that it would disturb other people.
So see if you or another visitor can take them a phone, ask one of the nurses if it's ok, and maybe switch it to a discreet ring tone ... don't forget a charger if they are there more than a couple of days
It's much cheaper to ring a mobile than any 070 number0 -
A thumbs-up to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth which actually has "You may use a mobile phone here" notices at strategic "safe" points around the building. I wish more establishments would take up this scheme.Nowadays, it isn't seen as so bad to have a mobile phone in hospitals [...]Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??
