hi my wife and I do not work and are on benefits,,last year we got a new bed mattress,, thinking that was all we needed,,but noticed the base has a hole in it and springs pushing through,,which could ruin our mattress,,can I apply for a grant for a bed base,,I know u cant apply for same thing with in certain time,, but is the base classed diffrent from the mattress

can't you just put the matress on the floor for the time being to stop any further damage?0

I suffer from MS,,it would be hard for me to get up from mattress if on the floor,,ps we have folded up a sheet and put it over the hole where the springs are

I think if you put everything down on the Grant form and let them make the decision, its possible they may if if last time you just applied for a mattress.
Remember to put on about your MS.
If all else fails, like other posters have said Furniture stores, Salvation Army or St Vincent de Pauls should be able to helpThe World come on.....0
