we keep getting frogs into our garden, not sure where they are coming from, possibly from a few gardens down the road from us.

how can we stop getting them?

As long as your dog is OK and it should be, I think you will find that Darwinism will assert itself and the tribe of frogs that want to move into your garden will die out.

Either that or evolve some sort of dog killing ray gun, I'd keep my eyes open to see which way it will go.

Frogs eat slugs, so they do a good job in the garden. The only thing wrong with frogs is that they tend to jump out and give me a fright if I disturb them while they are sitting under low-growing leaves. When my cat tries to find a place to sunbathe, they jump out of his way and frighten the beejeepers out of him - and he runs a mile.

Dogs are braver. I don't think there's much you can do to curb their natural instincts towards little creatures. It's the price you pay for being a frog, I'm afraid.

I've had frogs in the garden most places I've lived. My dog tries to eat them too, just as he'd like to get cats, birds, rabbits, and all manner of little things. Theres nothing to be done about it, unless I catch him. I've rescued a few frogs that way.

I know someone who was cutting his small lawn with shears so as to cause as little disturbance to wildlife as possible and he cut a frog in half! Poor guy (poor frog too!). He's a vegetarian and was scarred for life.

I've dug a pond and hoped frogs would move in but no sign of any yet.
I don't think they'll do any harm to your dog, go to France and people eat them, well at least their legs.
