Help with daffodil bulbs needed

I've dug up a large number of daffodil bulbs still with their foliage on as I was digging a new bed for my butternut squashes and courgettes. Now I haven't a clue what to do with them, do I need to replant them straight away so they get the benefit of the foliage dying back or can I just leave them in my shed and let the leaves go brown there before cutting them off and then storing the bulbs?
Your advice would be gratefully received.

I've lifted daffs and tulips this weekend, put the the best bulbs in a large pot with some compost and given them a slosh of feed. Once the leaves die back will put them in the shed until autumn0

I have some in troughs. Can they not be dug up and just planted into the new spot? And if, you know, your history...0
