Complaining about a holiday

Has anyone got any advice/tips on how I should go about complaining about a holiday I just come back from (Bulgaria with Medhotels.com).
I've never had to complain before.
Thanks.

  • You can always complain on http://www.tripadvisor.com/

Also - don't forget to complain with who you booked. The website shows the following contact details:

    MED HOTELS
Victoria Gate, Chobham Road, Woking, Surrey, GU21 6JD
    phone: +44 (0)870 442 4201, fax: +44 (0)870 066 0655
    Opening Hours: Mon -Fri 09:00 - 18:00, Sun - Sat 09:30 - 17:00
    sales@medhotels.com, operations@medhotels.com

Don't waste your time with the agents. Ask to speak to someone with seniority (like the manager).

    Good luck!

Thanks I'm in the process of trying to compile a letter to Medhotels at that address.
Just didn't know how to make sure my letter gets results.

The best thing to do when you write your letter is to bullet point your complaints individually and tell Medhotels that you want an answer for every point that you have raised. This way they can see clearly what you are complaining about and you can see if they reply in full to all of the points that you have raised.

I would also put a realistic note at the end about what you are expecting as an outcome ie are you wanting financial compensation and if so how much.

Also send them any supporting photo or video evidence you may have, but be sure to keep copies.

I sent Medhotels a letter of complaint. After a few weeks I hadn't heard anything from them not even a letter acknowledging my letter. So I Emailed them several times as they keep on ignoring my Emails. Eventually I received an Email saying they had 28 days to respond.
I have now waited more than 28 days and have heard nothing and once again my Emails are being ignored.
What do I do next? Where do I go from here?
    Any advice!!!
    Thanks
  • registered post ...not e-mails ...it's easier to wear you down vi e-mail
also give them specific numbered questions to answer
as a majority of companies just reply with drivel that doesn't answer your query...and the travel industry seems the worst

You're right about the travel lot Hammy, I'm still having a go with little coherent response, most of it totally irrelevent and badly organised.

    This made me laugh http://money.guardian.co.uk/travel/story/0,,1873612,00.html

Thanks. I did send my letter by registered post.
I think I'm just banging my head up a brick wall with it all though.
