Your worst nightmare, in other words.:D
Why is this my worst nightmare??? Especially as myself and nearly all of my friends fall into this category.
I did read the article, however, just because this group represents the biggest percentage increase doesn't mean it's the biggest numerical increase. Women having children in their 40's is a relatively new concept so the percentage incesse is bound to be large.
20% is a larger number than 3%, but 3% of 10,000 is larger than 20% of 1,000.0 -

*yawn*“The birth rate had been artificially depressed by the rise of educated women in the workforce — but when they stop postponing children, the eventual family size may remain the same,” Coleman says.
Stop and have a think about just how many educated women in the workforce there are, and how many of them have been postponing children.
And then have a think about the baby boom (like this one) that would be created if they decide to have babies while they can.;)
The uneducated had babies all the way through. The educated delayed children, and are now having them.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Still no desire to fill the McTavish house with rug rats.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Should help pay those state pensions as well :T'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0

So there is a demand for 3/ 4 bedroom houses rather than studio flats in inner cities; no wonder the value of flats has fallen whereas there is increased demand for family homes.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. The problem is these yer effnic chappies are happy with a slightly higher occupancy ratio than we are, so the number of houses needed may be small...0
