5p off fuel at Tesco / Gift voucher

I understand that if I do a big shop at Tesco (e.g. GBP 75) then I'll receive a voucher for 5p off fuel because I'm spending GBP 50 or over..... seems like a waste of GBP 25 to me.....

In order to receive the maximum number of 5p off vouchers versus the cash spent at Tesco, has anyone tried to purchase a Tesco Gift voucher for GBP 50 in single transactions.

e.g.
Transaction 1: Buy GBP 50 gift voucher and receive 5p off fuel voucher
Transaction 2: Buy GBP 50 gift voucher and receive 5p off fuel voucher
Transaction 3: ... and so on

I'm guessing that you would be free to spend the gift vouchers as and when, however you would need to use the 5p vouchers within the limited time period.

Are the '5p off' T&Cs available on the interweb?

And no, the 5p offs were not available on the website store.

Hi - a similar promotion was available at my local Sainsburys yesterday coupled with the cheapest petrol/diesel in town.

Tesco stopped it a couple of weeks ago now. Sainsburys are doing it until the end of August.

It can be worth it - I use a lot of petrol and shop at the supermarkets anyway so it works.

I'm not sure, but quite often gift vouchers are excluded from promotions like this (along with cigarettes, lottery tickets etc.)
