damp and shady
I have a 1m2 patch of ground that has brick walls on two sides and a wooden fence on the other. I don't think it gets any sun.
Any suggestions on what I can plant there that won't go mad or grow more than 1m max (windows in both walls). Preferably a perrenial if poss.
I don't know what type of soil I have - but I live in Bedfordshire if that helps at all!

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

I quite like Liriope muscari 'Turf Lily'.
What about edible plants? Or do they generally seem to prefer sunny spots?Man plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. Red and white currants are said to do well on a north facing wall, but at least they will get a tiny bit of sun, not sure in total shade.
I think it's worth a go though.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0
