Hi,
I am currently trying to reduce the height of the recess in the wall in order to fit a new gas fire. Iam going to get a Corgi gas person to fit the fir, but anyone any tips on reducing the height of the recess?
THanks

I haven't got any tips for you, but maybe this may be of help to you. When I needed a new inset gas fire the height of the fireplace recess was lower than the majority of standard inset fires on the market.
By using the web to research I found out that there were 2 manufacturers who made inset fires with smaller measurements. These were Kinder & Matchless. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
