I don't know how men manage it - I've had to unblock ours on several occasions.

Let's hope he never does it again!

but there was no astonish stuff - where do you get it from?

I got a magic eraser, thought I'd give it the ultimate test = the oven :rotfl:

Pounshop type places, wilko, there is a link on their website somewhere, all the supermarkets and JL used to do it but all have stopped now. Lakeland and natural collection both do/used to but they charge more per pot and their is delivery. Not sure the magic eraser is meant for or will work on the oven:eek:

Does anyone know the best way to get rid of them from the house?

I keep one of these http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=9297686&ecamp=trf-005&CAWELAID=266992090 by the door to prevent them coming in the kitchen (they love the heat of the AGA wall so tend to live outside by the front door

Well it looks like AF is going to appear after all, phew I can breathe a sigh of relief thankfully, which I am pleased about. I was starting to get a bit worried I can tell you..

She's done the opposite here and has come several days earlier, I thought I was grumpty last night (DH recommended a very large glass of wine!)

Does anyone know of where (preferably online) I can get some practice papers for 11+? DS2 (plus his mate) are practicing at the moment using Demo elements of online downloadable stuff from the 11+ forum (elevenplusexam.co.uk). The demos seem to be very good and they are split into Non Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning & Maths.

Trouble is they are £20 for each section & although mate's mum will go halves I was hoping for a little more MSE ;).

    Any ideas?

Soooo I'm almost caught up now. Just the bathrooms and I've flown. DS dropped off at gaelic football practice. Because I'm and eejit/glutton for punishment I invited one of his friends for tea. Off to the polytunnel now to see if the slugs have left me anything. Also can't remember if I fed the pigs. I'll feed them again just to be on the safe side. A neighbour dropped in a bag of stale scones, brown bread and a sack of carrots for them. They'll be stuffed! Guess that's the idea, right?

As an aside, if the toilet blocks again, it's worth filling a bowl/bucket/receptacle with water and pouring it from as high as you can into the toilet - this will often unblock it, I've had to use it on many occasions - it's a trick my grandmother taught me!

Thanks for all the good wishes for DD: the scar is now healing quite well, and she is coming off the painkillers, so we should make it back to school on Monday. No games for another 2-4 weeks, though (how pleased can one child get? :rotfl: She is not sporty!); and she's having a bit of difficulty straddling her cello...:( (which *is* making her miserable - exam and big audition coming up....)

DS2 has 3 weeks off from games and almost wet himself with delight!! I bet he slashes his head open on purpose once the 3 weeks are up lol I'll catch him headbutting the walls and stairs lol

Or fill a carrier bag with water and use it as a plunger.. when cleared.. pop the bag and put it in the bin.. cheap cheap!

Wallpaper collected.. and the curtains I wanted.. and a curtain pole.. and a mattress protector and some pillow protectors.. and a blanket for Squeak!!
