crocus website not working?

Hi all,
I have been trying to order from the Crocus website all day, but whenever I try to add anything to the trolley, or to the wish list, I get a message that the website is down.
For a bank holiday weekend, when garden centres traditionally do their best, it seems a bit odd! Is the site really down for maintenance, or is it my computer do you think? I have cleared cookies but am unsure as to the next step!
thanks for any help in advance.

Thanks for checking. I do get a message that the website does not have a certificate, but can choose to proceed anyway which i have done many times in the past. It then asks me if I want to display the unsecure content. Whatever I choose results in:
Hello,
Sorry not to be there when you need us.
We are currently updating our website and will
unavailable for a while.
Might be best to try again in a few hours.
Many thanks
I don't suppose anyone can advise a way around it?0 -
Oh I know what you mean I have had that a couple of times on other web sites I just allowed it and it worked. Try another browser like firefox0

Try clearing your temp files and cookies, usually works for me when something like that happens.

Normally in the past when there has been no certificate on a website it does not stop me from using it - Crocus is the first time it has strangely enough. I tried clearing my cookies - same problem.
I just downloaded Firefox and tried again - Firefox also picked up on the lacking certificate, gave me the option to permit this site as an exception, and brought up the same error.
It's frustrating as I have a bare garden (recently bought the house and the whole garden was concreted over - have removed it and now it's just earth!) and I am finally in a position to order some plants. As I have a grand total of zero non-weed plants (the weeds got started very quickly!) in the garden I need to make a big order but wanted to play around with the wishlist to try and get as much for my money as possible!0 -
To be honest if you want a load of plant I source locally as they just as cheap and you can pick best ones and usually bigger plants anyway
A local one near us at Reighton Nurseries (near Filey) is very cheap compared with other 2 we have. I get odd one online but wouldn't buy a lot just ones that are on offer or cant source locally
Also ask around for cuttings and seeds cheap way to fill garden on a budget
Oh and Wilkos are cheap for plants but sometimes need a bit of TLC0
