Beware Worldsaver

This company advertises free or cheap international calls from your homephone or mobile.

However, when I called 02 I found that I was NOT being charged nothing or 2p/min, as advertised on their site, but 25 p or 40p / min.

I've contacted Ofcom about this, but I'm not sure if they're its remit.


Who can I contact about this kind of fraud?

I've had a quick look at the website, and there are various rates of chargeband. The first two would be included in the inclusive minutes from almost all o2 contract phones:

For calls at only 2p a minute call 0844 55 600 10
For calls at only 4p a minute call 0870 144 1234

But if you were to employ any of the 0871 or 09xxx series numbers you would be seriously hit for charges from almost any mobile phone. The only exception would be via T-Mobile (10p/min for 0871) and Virgin (15p for 0871)
