hi. i sold an ink cartridge on 11th march 2010. it was sealed brand new, i had a printer that used it which went faulty and couldnt be repaired so ihad no need for it. buyer left positive feedback within 2 or 3 days.
i recieved an email from them today though, sayong they have opene dit and it is a different cartridge numbe rinside, and does not work in their printer. they havent asked for a refund etc just to see what i would do.
what are your views?
my biggest concern is that after 50+ days how can i be absolutely sure this is the one i sold them? so it could be an innocent error on their part.
their feedback is very good so i don't think they are die hard scammers, but you never know now with ebays new feedback rules.
it does seem a long time to me but what are other peoples thoughts?

Well its over 45 days so they cant open any dispute. So the next move is yours as they cant do anything via PP. If they haven't left feedback though they have up to 60 days
it may not be a long time though I buy toner cartridges for my laser printer one ahead. When i replace one I buy one so it could be months befor I open the box to replace it. This could be what your buyer did.0 -
thats what i was thinking. the buyer has already left positive so no worries there.
what are the odds though of a company like lexmark making this error??? i got the ink from them directly, sealed in the outer retail packaging. sounds a bit odd to me.0 -
anyone else got a view?0

If he was scamming you he wouldn't wait 50 days. If you have the original purchase receipt you could offer to send the cartridge back to try to get a replacement for him.0
